Remote
Recreational Cottage
Recreational Cottage Licenses to Occupy are available where no
land use conflicts exist in remote areas or in areas that are
subject to a Crown Timber License held by
Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Co. Limited or
Abitibi Consolidated Inc.. Licenses are issued for a five
(5) year term renewable upon expiry of each five (5) year period
.

Recreational
Cottage
Recreational cottage grants are available in rural areas that
are easily accessible where no land use conflicts exist, or in
areas that have been designated by the Lands Branch for
recreational cottage development.

Residential
Residential grants are available in communities where the land
is zoned for residential use under an approved municipal plan
or, if no municipal plan exists, where the land is located
within Community Infilling Limits, and no land use conflicts
exist.

Commercial
Grants or Lease-Only Titles
Commercial titles are available where no land use conflicts
exist, and within municipal and planning area boundaries
provided the Municipal Council gives written approval

Non-Tourist
Commercial Resource Based Camps
Commercial resource based camp licenses are available where no
land use conflicts exist, and within municipal and planning area
boundaries provided the Municipal Council gives written
approval. Licenses are issued for a term of five (5) years and
are renewable.

Agriculture
Leases or Licences
Agriculture leases and licences are available where no land use
conflicts exist, and within municipal and planning area
boundaries provided the Municipal Council gives written
approval. Agriculture leases are issued for a term of fifty (50)
years and must be approved by the
Agrifoods Branch of the
Department of Natural Resources.

Aquaculture leases and licences
Aquaculture leases and licences are available where no land use
conflicts exist and are subject to the approval of the
Aquaculture branch of the
Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Licenses are issued
for a period of five (5) years and leases are issued for a term
of fifty (50) years.
