Agri-Food Awareness is defined as a process to increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the agri-food sector from farm gate to consumer.
The Agri-Food Awareness Program is a federal/provincial initiative designed to revitalize the image of the agri-food sector amongst Canadians. It main objective is to identify and promote:
The economic contribution of the industry.
Food quality and safety.
Environmental Sustainability.
The quality of life and the standard of living enjoyed by rural and urban Canadians.
Innovation and Technology in the agri-food sector.
