This program was established in 1998 to develop and maintain a digital mapping system that allows for a more efficient process of retrieving cadastral and land use information for the effective management and allocation of the Crown land resource. The office is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Crown Lands GIS which includes the continuous evaluation of GIS and related technologies.
