Map shows the overall relative well-being of communities based on performance for 13 indicators related to income, employment population change, education and health.
 
 MedianAge
   
Map shows the median age of the people in the region. Median age is defined as the point where half of the individuals are greater than a particular age and half are lower.

 Transportation
   
Map includes road, marine and airport transportation infrastructuredefinition about Transportation
 
 RCMP/RNC/Supreme Court
   
Map includes location of RNC, RCMP and Supreme courts (excluding satellite offices)
 
 Federal/Provincial Offices Excluding RCMP/RNC
   
Map includes Federal office such as ACOA, Service Canada, and DFO Offices and all provincial government offices, public libraries, and Community Access Program (CAP) Sites (excluding RCMP/RNC satellite offices).
 
 Public Health Facilities
   
Map includes provincially operated hospitals, health care facilities and nursing homes (excluding general practitioners, dentists, personal care homes and other private sector health care providers).
 
 Fish Plants and Other Major Industries
   
Map includes location of mining operations, fish plants, newsprint mills, oil refineries and other large export oriented businesses.
 
 Large Retail Locations
   
Map includes locations of large retails stores such as Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire.
 
 Education
   
Map includes location of K-12 schools, College of the North Atlantic and Memorial University
 
 Local Area
   
Map includes breakdown within regions of the local areas. Local areas are based on Statistics Canada's 80 Census Consolidated Subdivisions in the province.
