The Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Fund provides term loans and equity investments to small and medium-sized businesses in strategic growth sectors with special emphasis on value-added manufacturing, information technology, aquaculture, bio-technology, marine services, agrifoods and tourism, where local competitive impact is not an issue. The fund also targets businesses which have export potential and need assistance to enter or expand in external markets.
This program is designed to assist operators in enhancing the quality and market readiness of their tourism services, businesses, and products. Market readiness is the creation and delivery of memorable, value-added, high quality products and experiences that meet and exceed the expectations of visitors.
The Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs) are a network of autonomous, not-for-profit companies working to meet the needs of small business. The CBDCs assist in the creation of small business and in the expansion and modernization of existing businesses by providing financial and technical services to entrepreneurs.
