The 2014 Community Summit will bring together representatives from across Newfoundland and Labrador’s community sector, government, private sector, and academia in a multi-site engagement exercise which will allow participants to convene in their respective region as well as utilize technologies which permit participants to dialogue and connect across vast distances.
The Summit will build upon the successes of previous gatherings as well as provide an opportunity to forge and showcase new synergies within the Office of Public Engagement (OPE) which can be used to strengthen our province’s non-profit sector.
The objectives of the 2014 Summit are:
This year, we will be hosting regional dialogues. This will involve utilizing an Interactive Rooms approach whereby four ‘regional rooms’ will be brought together through video and web-conferencing. Throughout the Summit, in addition to site-specific dialogue, there will be opportunities for participants to also dialogue with those in the other sites.
