The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is an exciting place to work and offers numerous opportunities to grow and develop future careers. Whether you are a full-time, part-time, contractual, or student employee, orientation for new employees begins with Onboarding. Employee onboarding is critical to learning job responsibilities, becoming familiar with performance expectations, and building positive working relationships. The Onboarding Program provides key information you will need when commencing employment with the public service.
Onboarding combines classroom and virtual delivery, eLearning, and other tools and resources that cover a broad spectrum of topics to assist employees with their orientation into Government. It provides key information you will need immediately regarding topics such as:
- Pensions and Benefits
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Government Policies
- Standards of Conduct
- Learning and Development Opportunities.
If you are a newly hired employee, a course page for Employee Onboarding can be found in PS Access (www.psaccess.ca), Government’s Learning Management System, where you’ll find a great deal of the content listed above. To request your PS Access user ID and Password, please email PSAccessSupport@gov.nl.ca.
