Oath/Affirmation of Office

The Oath/Affirmation of Office, approved by Treasury Board, communicates the obligations that all public service employees have to their employer.

All new employees entering the provincial core public service are required to sign this Oath/Affirmation as it outlines their responsibilities with respect to the performance of their duties and the protection of confidential, government-related information.

The Oath/Affirmation also requires employees to make themselves aware of any legislation and policies related to the management and protection of information.

The Payroll and Benefits Division of the Treasury Board Secretariat administers the Oath/Affirmation. Any questions can be directed to the Director of the Payroll and Benefits Division, at (709) 729-6368.
