The Corporate Records Information Management Standard (CRIMS) is a standard classification plan and records retention and disposal schedule used for the management of corporate records of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. CRIMS has been developed by the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) as a standard. CRIMS replaces the Information Management System for Administrative Records (IMSAR).
A memo to the Government Records Committee (GRC) is required from the Deputy Minister, Assistant Deputy Minister or equivalent outlining the organization’s intention to implement CRIMS. The following memo template must be used when requesting authorization from the GRC:
