As part of the Department of Forestry, Agriculture and Lands, the Emergency Services Division is tasked with the development and implementation of an emergency management program for the province. The goal is to develop and maintain a modern and robust emergency management system in the province, in collaboration with emergency management partners and stakeholders, in planning against, preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters.
The division works toward assisting citizens, communities, partners and governments in preparing to mitigate, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters to protect the province’s people, environment and property.
