A fraudulent email is circulating that requests the email recipient send money for traffic fines. The email, which appears to be from ‘traffic enforcement’, states the recipient incurred a speeding ticket, which was caught on a traffic camera. The email requests the recipient pay the fine to avoid deduction of a demerit point. It continues to state that if not paid immediately there will be a 10 per cent daily increase in payment. There is a tap button for payment included in the email.
