Every holder of a big game licence shall within seven days after the making a kill, fill in the licence return form attached to the licence. Licence holders failing to make a kill shall also complete and forward the return with seven days after the close of the season. Accurately completing information about your harvest, including kill location and other details about hunter effort, is an essential requirement for wildlife management. Please use the Big Game Management Area maps available in the links below to provide information about your harvest location.

The example below of a Big Game Area Map can be used to determine the grid location and section of the block to include on your licence return. A description of a nearby feature such as a lake, river, or community is also useful. If you are sending a paper return by mail, please clearly write this information in the space provided on your licence return. Big game licence returns can also be completed online by logging into your Wildlife Information Management System account.
