Newfoundland and Labrador is home to an emerging sector comprised of a cluster of companies, researchers, educational institutions, industry associations and government agencies working together to accelerate world-class research and commercial solutions in Health and Life Sciences.
IET works with institutions and organizations in the ecosystem in developing new opportunities to encourage innovation in health and life sciences sector. Investment in accelerators and incubators, research and development, and initiatives such as Hacking Health, Bounce Innovation and Eastern Health’s Living Lab are helping to drive and attract entrepreneurs and investment.
Together, health innovation partners are working closely to build the reputation of Newfoundland and Labrador as the test bed for health technologies by providing the resources, networks and access for entrepreneurs and innovators to advance their concept from inception to market.
