Responsibilities

The Business and Innovation Branch is responsible for:

• The assessment and monitoring of funding proposals and agreements associated with large-scale and special projects.
• Providing operational support to the Innovation, Business and Investment Corporation and to other Crown corporations specifically, Newfoundland Hardwoods Limited.
• The assessment of applications under the Harvester Enterprise Loan Program.
• Providing support for business in the critical areas that enable firm-level innovation and remove barriers to growth.
• Strategically promoting Newfoundland and Labrador as a premier destination for investment.
