Regional Services provides employment and training support for individuals, community agencies and employers. They assist employers with their recruitment, retention and skills development needs (e.g. wage subsidies); processes Job Vacancy Assessments and Atlantic Immigration Partnership Designations for employers hiring workers through immigration; and support workforce adjustments by providing information and employment and training supports for employers and workers impacted by business closures, industry downturn, impacts of tariffs, or those rebuilding following wildfires.
Services:
- For Job Seekers: Support to help individuals achieve their employment goals, including career planning, labour market information, help with a resume, job search support, interview preparation, and access to funding programs for training, Apprenticeship, Adult Basic Education, disability supports, life skills development and work experience.
- With Employment Centres: Clients can drop-in or book a visit to an Employment Centre for access to computers, printing, photocopying and group sessions.
- For Employers: Help for employers facing labour force adjustments or any human resource needs to identify the workers they need, access funding to create new sustainable positions, train new workers, and/or hire students.
- With Community Partners: Collaborate with community to help individuals prepare for, attain and maintain employment. Partners throughout the province deliver a variety of programs and services to help job seekers enhance independence, increase employability, and develop marketable skills.
