Petroleum Exploration Enhancement Program

In 2007, the Provincial Government, subject to the development of a MOU with Nalcor Energy, announced an investment of $5 million over multiple years, in the Petroleum Exploration Enhancement Program. The goal of the program was to engage the geoscience community in an effort to advance onshore oil and gas exploration in western Newfoundland.

Please be advised that the technical committee of the Petroleum Exploration Enhancement Program (PEEP) is no longer accepting applications for funding. Remaining funds will be directed towards strategic geoscience data acquisition targeted at attracting exploration activity in Western NL. The committee thanks all proponents for their interest and participation in the program.
