Aeromagnetic Survey of the Hopedale Area (Parts of NTS 13M and 13N)

A joint Open File release by the Geological Survey Division (Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources) and the Geological Survey of Canada (Natural Resources Canada).

This survey was carried out from January to August 2018 under Phase 2 of the Geomapping for Energy and Minerals (GEM-2) Program of the Lands and Minerals Sector, Natural Resources Canada. The publication of this information was completed by the Geological Survey of Canada, and fulfills part of a joint geoscience program with the Geological Survey Division, Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources.

This release comprises four pairs of 1:100 000-scale aeromagnetic maps for 24 NTS map areas covering a portion of east-central Labrador. Results are presented as full-colour maps in pdf format: (i) Residual Total Magnetic Field and (ii) First Vertical Derivative of the Magnetic Field, available below or from Natural Resources Canada – GEOSCAN.
