The Transparency and Accountability Act helps to make our decision-making processes more open.
As part of the act, departments and agencies have to table a three-year plan and annual reports in the House of Assembly. These plans help the public understand the actions government intends to take to reach its goals and commitments. These reports help the public determine whether those goals and commitments have been achieved.
Entities captured under the act are either a Category 1, 2 or 3 which determines their planning requirements. For more information, see the Guidelines for Multi-Year Performance-Based Planning.
Every year, entities have to report on the progress of their three-year plan. For more information, see the Guidelines for Annual Performance Reports.
Our office helps government departments and agencies implement these requirements. If you have a question or need help, check our contact page.
