With assistance from the Governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada, Vision 360 Productions will present the first-ever “Live at Heart” international music showcase to take place in Canada.

Mark Browne, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, today announced $17,000 from the Regional Development Program for the project. Churence Rogers, Member of Parliament for Bonavista-Burin-Trinity, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, announced an investment of $40,000 from ACOA’s Business Development Program.

This event, which originated in Europe, will be held on the Burin Peninsula from October 10 to 14. It will provide an opportunity for Newfoundland and Labrador musicians to meet with industry representatives to develop business skills and identify new markets. This event will also enable local artists to showcase their talents to an international audience.

These investments build on commitments made by the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic Provinces to drive economic growth in the region through the Atlantic Growth Strategy. The strategy focuses on building a strong culture of innovation by supporting creative and entrepreneurial people, and exploring opportunity for export growth.
