As part of efforts to enhance the quality of child care and early learning, new professional learning opportunities will be rolled out for the province’s Early Childhood Educators.

The Provincial Government is providing $75,000 to the Association of Early Childhood Educators NL for the development and delivery of the professional learning which will be focused on the newly released “Navigating the Early Years – An Early Learning Framework” and will include webinars, mentoring and support in all regions of the province.

The framework is an overarching document that outlines an approach to children’s early learning, with a specific emphasis on play-based learning, the important role of Early Childhood Educators in supporting children’s development and learning, and inclusion of children with exceptionalities.
