The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will participate in a rally on Monday, January 21, to celebrate the athletes, coaches and managers representing Team Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Premier Ball will also announce Team Newfoundland and Labrador’s flag bearer for the opening ceremonies at the games being held in Red Deer, Alberta, from February 15 to March 3.

The rally takes place at the PowerPlex, 100 Crosbie Road, St. John’s, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Simultaneously, the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources and MHA for Corner Brook, will participate in a rally with Team Newfoundland and Labrador athletes on the west coast at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
