The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will speak at the Community Sector Council Summit on Monday, October 28 at 9:30 a.m. Following Premier Ball’s remarks, he will participate in a series of panel discussions with community-led organizations and will be available to the media at 12:00 p.m. The event will be held at Delta Hotels St. John’s Conference Centre, 120 New Gower Street, St. John’s.

Premier Ball will be joined by the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, the Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services, the Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, and Sarah Stoodley, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation.

In April 2019, the Provincial Government released The Way Forward with Community, which was developed in collaboration with the community sector, and is designed to advance the sector’s social and economic contributions.
