The Provincial Government would like to remind the public that beginning Sunday, November 1, studded tires are permitted for use by those who choose to do so.

Motorists should remember to drive according to weather conditions. Motorists can also better prepare their vehicles for winter by ensuring tires are in good condition, brakes, wipers and lights are in working order, and that all fluid levels including windshield wash, antifreeze and oil are checked. Carrying an emergency kit in the vehicle while travelling on the province’s highways, especially in the winter months, is encouraged.
