The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will make a funding announcement tomorrow (Tuesday, September 29). The event will take place at The Aquarena, 17 Westerland Road, St. John’s, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Premier Furey will be joined by the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation; Iris Petten, Chair of Memorial University’s Board of Regents; Bill Thistle, Chair of the Memorial University Recreation Complex, as well as members of the local aquatic community.

The announcement will also be live-streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Facebook page.

Physical distancing and public health guidelines will be in place at this event.
