Media Advisory: Premier Furey and Minister Byrne to Announce New Immigration Pathway

The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be joined by the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Skills and Labour, to announce a new immigration pathway designed to attract educated newcomers with experience working in high-demand sectors.

The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, November 18) at 10:30 a.m., at the Signal Hill Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Emera Innovation Exchange, 100 Signal Hill Road, St. John’s.

The availability will be live-streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Facebook and Twitter accounts – @GovNL and on YouTube.

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, no more than 40 people will be permitted to participate in this event. Media are asked to RSVP to ryancrocker@gov.nl.ca.
