The Provincial Government is monitoring forecast information on a weather system that is anticipated to affect some areas of the province this weekend. Heavy snowfall is forecast to begin Sunday morning and heavy rainfall is possible for parts of the island later that day.

Municipalities and local service districts should review their emergency management plans; ensure infrastructure such as roads, ditches and drains are clear of debris; and ensure appropriate provisions are made for the delivery of services during anticipated weather events.
