The Provincial Government is monitoring forecast information on an approaching weather system anticipated to affect the eastern region of the province and expected to bring heavy snowfall and strong winds to the Avalon Peninsula overnight and into tomorrow (Wednesday, February 12). Snow is expected to transition from freezing rain to ice pellets for parts of the island for a brief period on Wednesday.
