With the trend towards using delivery services increasing significantly over the past year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, drivers who deliver products or services for a company are advised that a personal automobile insurance policy does not cover commercial usage.

Generally, a personal automobile insurance policy is for personal use only. When a person changes their automobile usage, additional insurance coverage may be required.

It is important for residents who deliver products using their personal automobiles to reach out to their insurance provider to ensure they have sufficient coverage for these commercial activities.
