The Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS REGISTERED:
Raleigh Harbour Development                                                               (Reg. 2178)
Proponent: Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Small Craft Harbours

The proponent is proposing to remove and replace existing wharf infrastructure with a finger pier wharf, construct a new storage building, and construct a protective breakwater in the Raleigh Small Craft Harbour. This project is designed to demolish the deteriorated wharf facilities and construct a new facility that will better meet the needs of the current users.

The undertaking was registered on November 30, 2021; the deadline for public comment is January 7, 2022; and, the minister’s decision is due by January 14, 2022.

Pinware River Cottage                                                                              (Reg. 2179) Proponent: Jeremy O’Brien

The proponent is proposing to develop a cottage for recreational use on the Pinware River, approximately 10 kilometres north of the Town of Pinware, off Route 510. The proposed cottage would be 10 metres long by 6 metres wide by 6 metres high. Construction of the cottage would take place on site and will include the clearing of trees and installation of an outhouse. The project is estimated to take 18 months to complete.

The undertaking was registered on December 1, 2021; the deadline for public comment is January 7, 2022; and the minister’s decision is due by January 15, 2022.
