Media Advisory: Update on Impacts of Cyberattack

The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, along with the Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services and the Honourable John Hogan, Minister of Justice and Public Safety will be available to the media to provide an update on the cyberattack today (Tuesday, November 9) at 4:30 p.m.

They will be joined by David Diamond, President and Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Regional Health Authority and Heather Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of Labrador-Grenfell Regional Health Authority.

The availability will be live-streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Facebook and Twitter accounts and on YouTube.

Technical Briefing

Prior to the event, a technical briefing for media will be provided at 4:00 p.m. An embargoed copy of the presentation will be provided to registered media at 3:30 p.m.

Media covering the availability and the technical briefing will have the opportunity to join in person in the media centre or by teleconference.

Media planning to participate by teleconference must join at 3:15 p.m. (NST) to be included on the call. For sound quality purposes, registered media are asked to use a land line if at all possible.
