  • Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture

May 18, 2021

Planned forestry operations are expected to commence in the coming days involving the transportation of salvaged timber from the Muskrat Falls timber storage yards located along the Trans Labrador Highway, to the Main Dock (Woodwards) near Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Members of the public should be aware of heavy equipment and trucks when travelling on the highway and exercise caution.

JP Forestry and Environmental Inc. has been provided permits by the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture to process and transport salvaged timber cut during the construction of the Muskrat Falls project, which is being stored at several wood storage yards in the area. Questions regarding planned forestry operations should be directed to the company at 709-632-1235.
