Provincial Government Announces Appointment to Board of Directors of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro

The Provincial Government today announced, effective immediately, the appointment of Trina Troke to the Board of Directors of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.

Ms. Troke joins chair John Green, QC, Donna Brewer, Fraser Edison, Chris Loomis, John Mallam, Stan Marshall, David Oake, and Brian Walsh on the board. Biographical information for Ms. Troke is provided in the backgrounder below.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is a provincial Crown corporation under the Hydro Corporation Act, 2007. The company is the main generator and transmitter of electricity in the province, delivering power to utility, industrial, residential and commercial customers in more than 200 communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

The appointment was based on a recommendation provided by the Independent Appointments Commission.

Biography

Trina Troke
Trina Troke has extensive management and project management experience in progressively senior and leadership roles with Worley-Parsons, Nalcor and Newfoundland Power. In her current role as project manager for the Cahill Group, Ms. Troke manages the safe and successful execution/construction of multiple high voltage substation and HVdc projects, in accordance with approved budget, schedule, and client requirements. She is a graduate of Memorial University (engineering) and York University (project management).
