Provincial Government support for Exploits Valley Air Services (EVAS Air) will assist the company with business growth plans including global exposure for its innovative products.

For nearly 20 years EVAS Air has been providing a variety of aviation services, from corporate air charters, air cargo transportation and most recently air ambulance transfers.

To assist with its promotion and marketing plans, EVAS Air received approval of $100,000 from the Business Development Support (BDS) program. The funding will help the company with implementation of export marketing initiatives including promotional materials for targeted external markets.

When EVAS Air attended the Air Medical Transport Conference it presented its EVAS 1900D MEDI-MAXX product to the industry. The air ambulance was modified from a Beechcraft 1900D. This retrofit has enabled the company to modify more air ambulances through a contract with Latitude Air Ambulance.

The EVAS 1900D MEDI-MAXX can be used for neonatal and bariatric patients, and includes a power lift system. On board there is room for family and medical staff.

EVAS Air is a significant employer in the province and continues to use an innovative approach to adapt new product and service offerings.

Honourable Andrew Parsons
Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology

“EVAS Air continues to show it is a world leader in innovation in the aviation industry. EVAS Air is a major employer in Gander and the Central Newfoundland region. The contribution to the economy by EVAS Air is invaluable to our province. The future is bright for EVAS Air and I look forward to seeing where they expand next.”
Honourable John Haggie
Minister of Health and Community Services and MHA for Gander

“EVAS Air has invested approximately $6 million into the Medi-Maxx program in Newfoundland and Labrador. The response received at the Association of Air Medical Services convention in Fort Worth-Dallas, Texas was truly exciting. Flight medics and medevac operators were amazed at the capabilities of the aircraft and the ability to extend the careers of flight medics with its “no lift” loading system. Thanks to the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology, the province, and Ministers Parsons and Haggie for believing in and supporting this venture. The US market has significant interest in our Newfoundland and Labrador developed products.”
