The Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills is reminding people that front-line services offered by the department, including its 19 employment centres throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and apprenticeship services, are currently open for in-person visits. The employment center at Regatta Plaza, 80-84 Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s remains open to in-person visits by appointment only.
Services offered at employment centres work to match job seekers with employers, serving both the career and employment needs of people looking for a job, and the labour demand challenges of employers.
Staff also continue to offer services remotely:
- Individuals who prefer remote employment support services can complete a Request for Service Form and email it to employmentprograms@gov.nl.ca. In addition, staff can be reached at 1-800-563-6600.
- For remote apprenticeship services, please continue to call1-877-771-3737 or email app@gov.nl.ca. A full staff listing can also be found on our website.
