The Rooms Corporation is advising that public consultations related to the renaming of the Mary March Provincial Museum in Grand Falls-Windsor concluded this week.

A total of 164 submissions were received. These submissions will now be reviewed by The Rooms Corporation. A summary of the collected submissions will be made available on The Rooms Corporation website once the review is complete.

The Rooms, in partnership with the Provincial Government, Indigenous Governments and Organizations, and community partners, committed to a process by which the public would have an opportunity to share their views on a new name. The goal of the consultation process was to find a new name for the museum that is respectful of efforts towards healing and commemoration of Indigenous histories in Newfoundland and Labrador.
