A contract valued at approximately $3.7 million has been awarded to Complete Concrete Solutions to replace the North River Bridge on Route 70 in the Town of Clarke’s Beach.

The contract includes work to construct a new bridge and a temporary road diversion around the bridge while work is ongoing, install rip rap and gabion walls, and regrade and pave Route 70.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure anticipates construction starting this fall and being completed in 2022.

Motorists should travel at a reduced speed and drive cautiously in the area while work is ongoing.
