The Honourable John Abbott, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development and Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, and the Honourable Krista Lynn Howell, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, will be participating virtually in an event hosted by the Salvation Army Church at Happy Valley-Goose Bay today (Tuesday, April 12).

The Salvation Army, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, is holding an in-person event to acknowledge contributions from funding and community partners towards the enhancement of emergency response services in Labrador. Also participating are Major Rene Loveless, Divisional Secretary for Public Relations with the Salvation Army, Yvonne Jones MP for Labrador, George Andrews, Mayor of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and representatives of Indigenous and community partners.

The event is taking placing at the Salvation Army Church, Churchill Street, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, at 11:00 a.m. AST.
