Newfoundland and Labrador’s Team Gushue Wins Bronze for Canada at 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing

The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, are congratulating Newfoundland and Labrador’s Team Gushue on winning the bronze medal for Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.

Team Gushue defeated reigning Olympic champion the United States at the Ice Cube in Friday’s bronze medal game in men’s curling in Beijing.

Team Gushue earned the right to represent Canada in men’s curling at the Olympics by winning the Tim Hortons Canadian Curling Trials in November 2021. The team consists of members Brad Gushue (skip), Mark Nichols (third), Brett Gallant (second), Geoff Walker (lead), alternate Marc Kennedy and coaches Jules Owchar and Jeff Thomas.
