The Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, along with Katherine Dibbon and Benjamin Oates, co-chairs of the Premier’s Youth Council, will be available to media tomorrow (Tuesday, June 7) at 1:30 p.m. to discuss youth perspectives on such topics as youth retention, mental health, Come Home 2022, immigration, and Reconciliation. The availability is a part of a two-day series of meetings between the Youth Council, the Premier, ministers and departmental officials.

The media availability will take place in the Media Centre, East Block, Confederation Building. Media planning to attend are asked to register by contacting Victoria Battcock (victoriabattcock@gov.nl.ca or 709-729-4164).

The Premier’s Youth Council, formed in April 2017, consists of 25 Newfoundlanders and Labradorians between the ages of 16 and 24 with a mandate to provide advice to the Premier on select topics of importance through a youth perspective.
