The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will make an announcement tomorrow (Thursday, November 3) regarding an international health care recruitment initiative.

Premier Furey will be joined by the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, the Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Health and Community Services, and Lynn Power, Executive Director of the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the Centre for Nursing Studies library, Southcott Hall, 100 Forest Road, St. John’s. The event will also be live streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Facebook page.

Media are asked to meet at the main entrance at 10:40 a.m. for escort through the facility. Visitor parking is available just outside of the rear entrance to Southcott Hall.
