Ten Newfoundland and Labrador businesses are participating in Oceanology International 2022 from March 15-17, a leading forum where industry, academia and government can share knowledge, showcase and connect with the world’s marine science and ocean technology communities and developments.

Newfoundland and Labrador has Canada’s largest ocean economy and is at the forefront of the ocean technology sector. The province’s harsh ocean environment is globally unique – rich with an abundance of ocean resources and an ideal place to develop, test, and bring new technologies to market. Newfoundland and Labrador is an international centre for ocean expertise and marine technology, establishing it as a leading force in Canada’s oceans economy and its Ocean Supercluster.

The Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology, today announced approximately $30,000 to support Edgewise Environmental Consultancy Ltd., eDNAtec Inc., EngageFCP Inc., eSonar, Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ocean GNS Inc., Rutter Inc., and SubC Imaging. These eight companies will join the Canadian contingent at Oceanology International in the United Kingdom, where they will explore business development opportunities, expand markets and collaborate to increase profitability.

Having graduated from being a part of the Canadian Pavilion, Kraken Robotics and PanGeo Subsea, both seasoned participants of the show, will be hosting their own space and booth at Oceanology International.
