Minister Crocker Congratulates Sport Newfoundland and Labrador Hall of Fame Inductees

The Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation is congratulating the newest members of the Sport Newfoundland and Labrador Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on Saturday evening (October 22) at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland in St. John’s. The Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, attended the ceremony on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

SportNL inducts 3-5 individuals or groups into its Hall of Fame annually, however this year eight members were given the special honour due to cancellations in 2020 and 2021.

SportNL’s newest Hall of Fame members are:

  • Kirk Howell – Athlete
  • Anne (Barrington) Johnston – Athlete
  • Doug Redmond – Builder
  • Erin Woodrow – Athlete
  • Jackie Barrett – Athlete
  • Zane Forbes – Athlete
  • Blair Langmead – Athlete
  • Wulf Stender – Builder
