The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will host the 19th Annual Premier’s Athletic Awards tomorrow (Wednesday, October 4).

The event will take place at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sport Centre (PowerPlex), 90 Crosbie Road, St. John’s at 4:30 p.m.

Premier Furey will be joined by the Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, as well as Olympic Gold Medalists Mike Adam and Jamie Korab.

The Premier’s Athletic Awards recognize athletic excellence in Newfoundland and Labrador and provide financial support to help young athletes with the costs of training and competition.
