The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Health and Community Services, today expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of James Johnston, Treasurer of the Newfoundland and Labrador Brain Injury Association.

“I was very saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a passionate ambassador for the Brain Injury Association, always advocating to help improve the quality of life for survivors and their families. From his role with the association to his many other community roles, he embraced each of them with a dedication that was second to none.

Over the past year, he was also instrumental in helping many of the Ukrainian newcomers to our province embrace their new life. I was fortunate to know him on a personal level and have valued his friendship over the years. My condolences are extended to his family, friends, colleagues and loved ones at this difficult time.”
