The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, will be signing a proclamation tomorrow (Wednesday, October 11) officially designating October as annual Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The signing will take place at Bowering Building, Suite 301, 277 Water Street, St. John’s at 9:30 am.

Disability Employment Awareness Month recognizes the contributions of workers with disabilities, while also recognizing employers who promote inclusion and disability employment, and the benefits of inclusion to all citizens.

Newfoundland and Labrador is committed in our work towards employment inclusion through the provision of leadership, resources, and ongoing opportunities for dialogue and engagement.
