The Honourable Pam Parsons, Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality, will announce funding support for PerSIStence Theatre Company’s “Raise Her Up” statue project tomorrow (Tuesday, April 4).

The event will take place at the Colonial Building, 90 Military Road, St. John’s, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Minister Parsons will be joined by the Honourable John G. Abbott, Minister for Children, Seniors and Social Development and MHA for St. John’s East – Quidi Vidi, and representatives from PerSIStence Theatre Company.

PerSIStence Theatre Company’s “Raise Her Up” initiative aims to raise the first statue of a historical woman in the City of St. John’s.
