The Honourable Paul Pike, Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, and the Honourable Pam Parsons, Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality, will announce funding for a new women’s emergency shelter in Marystown tomorrow (Thursday, January 4).

The event will take place at the Marystown Summer Games Building, 2A Harris Drive, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The ministers will join Churence Rogers, Member of Parliament for Bonavista-Burin-Trinity, on behalf of the Honourable Sean Fraser, federal Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities. Also participating will be His Worship Brian Keating, Mayor of the Town of Marystown, and Lisa Slaney, Executive Director of Grace Sparkes House.
