| Summary: | The Complainant made an access to information request to the Department of Municipal and Provincial Affairs for records about the establishment of a beach reserve. The Department provided responsive records, but withheld some information pursuant to sections 29 (policy advice), 30 (legal advice), 31 (disclosure harmful to law enforcement), and 40 (disclosure harmful to personal privacy). The Complainant made a complaint to this Office to review the decision by the Department to withhold this information. The Commissioner found that the exceptions to access had been properly applied and the Department could continue to withhold this information. |
