Newfoundland and Labrador’s Film and Television Industry Receives Multiple Canadian Screen Awards Nominations

This week, Newfoundland and Labrador-based film and television productions, as well as a number of individuals working in the industry from this province, were nominated for Canada’s top honours in film and television.

Five television productions, two digital media productions and one feature film received Canadian Screen Awards nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, along with a number of talented individuals from this province. The award show will be broadcast on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 9:30 p.m. (Newfoundland Daylight Time) on CBC and the CBC Gem App.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television is the largest non-profit professional media arts organization in Canada. With a membership of more than 4,000 emerging and established industry professionals, the Academy is dedicated to developing, recognizing, celebrating, and advocating for Canadian talent in the film, television and digital media sectors.
