Provincial, federal and municipal government support of more than $32 million will result in various improvements to roads throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
Spanning from Trepassey to Wabush, the 31 projects include intersection re-designs, sidewalk installations, roadside retaining wall replacements, culvert and bridge replacements, as well as more than 20 road re-paving projects.

A total of 27 municipalities will benefit from this support, including the City of Corner Brook, where today’s announcement took place. In Corner Brook, the retaining wall on Curling Street will be replaced to prevent damage to the road, and the Deep Gulch Brook culvert will also be replaced and will include a new sidewalk and traffic island.
Modern transportation infrastructure is critical to connecting communities, helping businesses move their goods to customer markets, and building a strong economy.
